Blogmas 15: Christmas Shortbread Recipe

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to share this Christmas Shortbread Recipe - this is my favourite recipe I have tried and placed on the on from Tanya Burr.

Ingredients:
300g plain flour
200g softened butter
100g caster sugar
a few drops of vanilla extract

Method:
  1. Start by rubbing the flour and butter together in a bowl until you have a crumbly consistency, then stir in the caster sugar and vanilla extract and work together until a dough forms. 
  2. Wrap the dough up in cling film and refrigerate for an hour. (advised but not necessary)
  3. When you’re ready, preheat the oven to 130c and lightly flour a surface, then roll the dough out to 1cm thickness. 
  4. Use a cutter to cut star shapes in the dough and arrange on a lined baking tray. 
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until they are a pale golden colour. Serve with a dusting of icing sugar.
They taste so good and was quite hard to keep some back for this post.
